The Marksman Way was on full display on Saturday morning as the Boys Soccer Marksmen downed the Evansville Christian Eagles in a 6-0 shellacking in the first game of the Marksman Kickoff Classic! Junior Goalkeeper Jake Noble and Freshman Goalkeeper Kris Kraus combined for 80 minutes of no-goals-allowed football. Senior Defensive Midfielder Drew Greulich, Senior Centerback Drew Schroeder, Senior Centerback Eli Kleemann, Senior Leftback Josue Padron-Terrazas, and Junior Rightback Jackson Joyal led the defensive line, combining with the Goalkeepers for a clean sheet. Padron-Terrazas opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a smartly-struck back post shot and Tribbie added another goal just before halftime. After the halftime break, Sophomore Attacking Midfielder Xavier Scioldo came alive, showing his class and ability by adding 2 goals in 2 minutes! Tribbie hammered home the 5th Marksman goal and Greulich slotted one in to make it 6 goals in total for our Marksmen! Freshman Forward Daivion Randall contributed 2 assists, while Tribbie and Greulich each added 1. The Boys Soccer Marksmen improve to 1-0 on the season. Next up, your Marksmen will play at Pike Central on Tuesday at 5:00pm central time. Article written by Taylor LaGrange Photos by Jeremie Joyal
